Karina Martinez, originally from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, moved cross-country to San Diego in Fall 2014 after living in Houston, Texas for twelve years. Karina's love for movement began with Dance. She is classically trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Modern and Jazz. Yoga has always been an amazing compliment to her dance endeavours. After a successful Contemporary dancing career Karina found a deep-rooted Yoga community in San Diego. So, in Fall 2016 she made the bold choice to get her 200 YTT. She has been teaching to the San Diego community since Fall 2017. She is a passionate teacher and student. She actively teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Dhurva (stick yoga) and compliments her teachings with Reiki Healing. Her classes are strong, heart-felt and sequenced thoughtfully unless you're in Yin in which case you are sure to be left feeling nurtured and supported. Karina likes to help people get out of their heads and into their body's.
Malia Flood's journey into yoga began in 2015 when she attended her first aerial yoga class, in an attempt to help relieve her chronic back pain, it was love at first flight! She gained her arial instructor certification in 2016. Later that year after spending so much time above the earth, she felt the need to become well “grounded” and started down the path of traditional yoga. As all wanderers do, she followed the universe’s flow and eventually became both a Reiki and sound healing practitioner. As an instructor she likes to blend different aspects of her passions into her classes, enhancing their relaxing effects while keeping them fun and interesting.
